Our Process
How We Work
I'm sure you like surprises. Flowers on your birthday, chocolates on a random Tuesday or a bubble bath drawn for you when you get home from work. These are all nice surprises. What you don't like is a nice "surprise" when planning the biggest day of your life. We don't want that either. We like to keep things honest and open, so you're not hit with anything from left field.

Our process goes like this:
  • We meet with you to determine your needs and budget. You fill out the necessary information form.
  • We go home, crunch some numbers, and get back to you within a few days with a quote.
  • Once you agree, sign the contract and invest a 50% deposit, we get started on your design (how exciting!)
  • Next, we'll send you an online proof of your design. (If you'd like a hard-copy sample, see below in "Samples")
  • You and your honey can make changes to this design, as many as you'd like. You sign the proof approval form.
  • We'll send you a second online proof (or hard-copy, for a small fee).
  • After you see the second proof, you have two options:
    • One: Approve the design and we'll send to print! You'll have your completed invites within 5-10 business days. Additional payment is due at this time.
    • Two: You make more changes, which in that case we'll have to bill you per hour. (Unless it was an oversight on our part, then we'll gladly make the changes at no extra charge).
You can download our entire contract, from start to finish. If you like what you see, give us a try. We want to give you the best impression, without hidden surprises. You can ask us any questions; we love giving superior customer service.
Getting Samples
Samples are great. You can get samples of your design from us, for only $4.00 per piece. Of course, there's a lot that goes into a sample, such as printing and shipping, etc.; so we have to limit you to two pieces per design. Envelopes are not included, because most of the time they are only sold in bulk packs. Turnaround time for samples is 3-4 business days from time of order.
Types of Printing Offered
There are so many different types of printing out there; you could get lost in all the options! We want to make it easy for you. To keep it simple, we offer:

  • Thermography: a type of printing that uses heat-treated inks to create a raised effect on the text. Similar to engraving or embossing, but less expensive.
  • Digital: straight from computer to printer. This is the most common form of printing, and also the most cost-efficient.
  • Letterpress: text or images are pressed into the paper to create an engraved effect. Looks best on thicker, softer papers. Has a very high-quality feel and is a great investment.

We can go on all day about the different types, but you'd get bored. Best thing to do: contact us to find out what we can offer for your specific ideas. After all, it's all about you.
Turnaround Time
I'm sure you've heard this before, but I'm going to repeat it anyways - you should order your invites at least six months in advance. That means contact us six months before your event date, because you'll need to send them out to your guests two-three months before the date. That gives you and us a lot of time for revisions, spell-checking, printing, etc. If that's not possible, we can work with your specific timeline. We want to make you happy, and we'll work our little hineys off to make that happen.
Envelope Sizing
This little chart is just a guideline to help you when ordering invites. These are the standard sizes, and the envelopes that accompany them.

USPS Mailing Guidelines
The USPS has some pretty tight rules when it comes to mailing things. The chart below lays out the sizes for mailing letters, invites, etc. Most pieces will fit these standards, but we like to run a tight ship over here. That's why when your invites are finished, we'll take them to the post office to make sure you're getting the best deal for mailing. Remember--no surprises. (Like finding out you can't mail your invites without plastering a whole book of stamps to each one.)
